My New Home Office Reveal
Hello, friends!
In today’s post, I want to share some photos of my new home office. For that makeover, I was so excited to team up with Mayflower Wallpaper who sent me their gorgeous Fly South wallpaper for the feature wall. The room turned out very romantic, tranquil and relaxing – right what I need to get into creative mode.
The wallpaper came safely packaged and I instantly felt the quality of it as soon as I open the roll. The colors are amazingly beautiful – subtle and soft and the quality of printing is very high. I applied the wallpaper myself and it was not difficult at all to do that (in one of the future posts I will share the tutorial on how I did that).
The working desk was another DIY project – it is a simple laminated board that we found in Leroy Merlin and Philippe attached it to the wall with the metal support. I tend to slouch a lot while I work with the computer, that’s why I asked to install the desk a little bit higher so that it will force me to strengthen my back. Instead of the office chairs I used my favorite bar stools by Crea, which are super comfortable.
When I get tired of sitting at the desk I relax on my Billbelly giant cushion  – it is perfect for a short break, reading a magazine or even working with laptop and Chipi on my knees.
The shelves for my catalogs are from IKEA, I will probably add some more of them in the future. For the moment I quite enjoy how empty, clean and spacious the rooms feels. It looks a bit unfinished but that’s the exciting part for me as I don’t like to rush when I decorate my room.
This makeover proved that you don’t need a lot of money to refresh the look of the space. For example, the built in wardrobe that I have in this room looked a bit tired because of age. To renovate it I bought white spray paint and also changed the handles for the fancy golden ones that I found in Zara home.
What do you think about my new home office? Looking forward to hearing your comments! And by the way, this is how the room looked like before:
