The Best Daily Planners for Interior Designers for 2016

Spread the love

Hello my lovely friends!

It’s quite unbelievable, but we are already in 2016 🙂 I hope you all are having fantastic holidays.

I started the new year full of enthusiasm and dedication to pursue all my dreams in 2016. I hope the energy of Monkey (2016 in the Chinese zodiac) will help us all to achieve our goals. First of all I am  determined to finally complete my KLC diploma. We have agreed with lovely Suzanne to motivate and encourage each other to push our projects and finally complete them in the beginning of 2016. I can tell you it is really important to have an accountable buddy, especially if you study or lead business on your own.

Secondly I began a 30 day Yoga challenge course with Adriene. Yesterday I did the first lesson and really loved it, so recommend to everyone!

Thirdly I started to do little walks every day (at least half an hour). If you have a similar job as mine, you can understand that sometimes you spend the whole day in front of the computer without even looking what’s going on on the street. I convince myself that I simply don’t have time, but actually sometimes it’s just about being lazy. Now it is minus 15 degrees in Moscow so going outside is also a cryotherapy, so I hope it will benefit my skin too.

Lastly, I like to spend the beginning of the year planning and making resolutions. What I understood from previous years, is that I shouldn’t make a list of big goals, because when I don’t meet them I feel really frustrated and overwhelmed. Nowadays I rather define my ultimate goal, and then make lists of daily tasks, which help me to move in the right direction to achieve it. I don’t know why, but for some reason online applications, such as Google or IPhone calendars do not really work for me. I prefer to write to do lists on a piece of paper – there is something about it which helps me to connect things on paper with my brain. That’s why I really love all sort of planners and notebooks, so in today’s post I have picked the ones that can be useful to all interior designers and creative entrepreneurs.

My personal favorite is Moleskine Classic Notebook. Apart from writing there my daily tasks I take it with me to meetings with clients, where I put all my observations and notes.

Day Designer  is a favorite planner of many interior designers. I like the fact that it was created also by a designer  – Whitney English, and it covers many planning challenges that creative entrepreneurs often face.
If you like to modify the planner according to your own needs, then Staples Customizable notebooks might be a perfect solution for you. They have leather and poly covers in a variety of colours, all the refill papers can be customized and they also provide wonderful accessories, such as dividers, page flags and task pages.

Agendas by Lilly Pulitzer has joyful and colourful covers – perfect to set you on a creative mood at the beginning of the day. It is also full of colours on the inside, which makes planning process rather enjoyable.

Customizable planners from Agendio is another popular tool among interior designers. You can change the layout and personalize the content before they print it and send it to you.

The Intentional Life Planner  was created by Abby from Just a Girl and Her Blog. I really love everything what this talented and beautiful woman does (for people who just start blogging her Building a Framework ebook is simply a treasure), so I couldn’t not mention her newly created planner in this overview.
