Inspired By… Antique Doors
I love antique doors. For me they represent sightless connection between past and present. Walking around any city they always catch my attention. I already was talking before that vintage doors can be an interesting feature in home decor. There are many ways on how you can use them: as a headboard, wall decor or simply hanging a photography of them. I actually used one image of antique door in my newly refurbished bedroom: I just printed it out in the large scale and then leaned it against the wall. Now busy with my living room makeover, I am thinking it would be nice to add some local touch and decorate the walls with photography of antique doors found here in Yerevan.
So I went looking for one… I was lucky enough and after half an hour of leisure walking in the centre of the city I found an amazing antique door on the Abovyan street. The owner of the hotel located in the same building said that it is actually the oldest door in Yerevan. Unfortunately there are very few old building left in the city. Many of them are demolished to give space for construction of modern trade centres and high-rise dwelling houses. This door is one of the very few treasures of old Yerevan which are left.
My poor Dolce was patiently waiting for half an hour until the end of photoshoot:
