How Coronavirus Has Affected Marriages
A wedding is the most memorable and significant day in the life of both the bride and groom and evidently for the two families. And both the families want and do the best possible to make the day more beautiful and memorable. But the coronavirus outbreak, around the world, has forced people to re-plan their wedding. France is one of the ideal marriage places for couples. Not only in France but all the world as a whole, this can be observed. Postponement in such an essential part of life has added to worries of people, but one way out to this is mariage civil, which allows you to come together on the day as planned, at least legally.
The rituals are lost
The French wedding rituals, be it in a town hall or vineyard, have been hit due to COVID-19 outbreak. Due to the lockdown, the groom’s family can now not go to get the bride from her place, and children can’t block their path with white ribbons. People now cannot go out to prepare trousseau & wedding armoire. The bride and groom might be missing the grand entrance down the aisle accompanying their parents. Cakes, champagne, onion soup, etc., are major missing for those who were planning for marriage. The situation is worse for those who had designed the ceremony somewhere during this period. Marriage used to be a ceremony where many people witnessed the bride and groom take the vows. But now, times are such where people are hoping; at least the marriages will open with no or fewer festivities. And in this scenario, marriage civil is hope for couples.
Restrictions in Quarantine
Owing to the lockdown, you can’t move out to shop for your favorite wedding gown, dresses, wedding ring, gifts, and souvenirs for each other; you can’t meet and spend some quality time. But one thing for sure has happened, and that is, now you have the time to spend with your family before you start your new life. Somewhere amidst lockdown, we have got the opportunity to be with our family, which we surely were missing.
Hoping for normal
COVID-19 has affected the whole world; take any sector- there is disruption. But being separated from your loved ones, that too for an uncertain time, is very difficult. Especially when you plan to live together for life, and suddenly the world comes to a halt, there are no meetings at all. One day you both were making plans for your future, and the next day suddenly everything is closed, it’s hard to accept the fact. All you can do is seeing that person that too virtually. Unexpectedly, the plans related to the memorable day stop, with a hope to resume them soon at the same speed. Every one of us can do their best, in a way, as suggested by authorities.
Although religious weddings are irreplaceable, the dates and bonds can still be the same, so utilize the option of civil marriages during the lockdown, as a start of your joyful journey. For Love knows no pandemic!
