Paris is Always a Good Idea

“Paris is always a good idea” used to say Audrey Hepburn and I can not agree more. If you are run out of the ideas on where to go for vacation, this amazing city will always be a good choice. It has to offer something for everybody: those who like culture and arts will find here the best museums, wine and dine aficionados will appreciate gastronomic experiences trying dishes of the finest cuisine of the world, while those who like entertainment and shopping will find themselves busy all day long.

I went to Paris just for three days and for sure it was one of the best weekend trips of 2015.  I stayed in the Hotel Chambiges Elysees – nice and charming, though a little bit old fashioned – I can recommend it to anyone who wants to stay right in the center of Paris, but at the same time prefers quite and secluded location.

Since it was not my first time in the city, I didn’t want to spend the precious time waiting in the long lines to get up to the Eiffel Tour or inside the Notre Dame de Paris, but rather enjoy the city like the locals would do:  walking around the streets, slowly enjoying wonderful food and wine, talking and doing everything what Parisiens usually call “joie de vivre”. I must say here that gastronomic experience was above my expectations, especially the seafood dinner that we had:

Another memorable experience was having cocktails in Four Seasons George V. I had never seen such beautiful and unusual Christmas decorations in the lobby:

And of course I couldn’t skip the main tourist attractions and taking around thousand pictures of them (will not post here my photo of Eiffel Tour though).

I don’t know why, I always had this question in my mind “would I like to live here?”

and understood that for some reason I prefer to live in Moscow…. And Paris? Paris is always a good idea… for a visit…
