Essential Home Appliances For Morning People

Spread the love

Rise and shine! You probably already know if you’re a morning person or a night owl. If you’re still not sure, a good guess says anyone living with you would be able to tell you. The morning person is the one who doesn’t just wake up early; they wake up early naturally—and most of all, happy—without growls and mutters. They might wake up at the time when night owls have barely gone to sleep. Whether you’re a happy lark or a night owl, one of the first places your feet will take you to once you wake up is the kitchen. When you have the right home appliances in it, you’re going to start a fresh, new, and brilliant day. Maybe now is the time to have a little chat about the most needed appliances to start your day right.

Coffee machine

The coffee machine—also called a drip brewer, filter coffee machine, or simply a coffee maker—is a basic device that will provide you with a robust coffee taste. The machine pours hot water over ground coffee, absorbing the flavor and oil of the beans. Then it slowly and gradually drips through a filter and into your mug.

The coffee used in these machines is usually roasted lightly and this preserves the acidity found in the beans. Coffee machines also use a thick grind and take around 10 minutes to brew. Some machines won’t heat the water enough to produce a strong mug of coffee. So you might want one that reaches the optimal temperature of 95 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

Generally, they produce a weaker-tasting coffee than an espresso machine, which is our next home appliance.

Espresso machine

To know the difference, you should know more about the type of coffee you’ll be using. Espresso tends to have more caffeine per ounce than drip coffee, but the latter has more caffeine per serving. There’s approximately 80 mg of caffeine in a serving of espresso and 80 to 120 mg of caffeine in a serving of drip coffee. Yet, the serving size of espresso is much smaller—the average being two ounces in size—while a cup of coffee is 12 ounces, which is why drip coffee contains more caffeine per cup.

The grind size is finer and smoother for espresso, which accounts for one of the reasons why it has more caffeine in it per ounce. Making one espresso can take as little as 20 to 30 seconds with the machine using hot pressurized water and steam. If you’ve set your mind on finding the best choice for you, look for a machine that suits your morning routine, your budget, and the space available on your kitchen counter. Also take into consideration the grinder part, and the frequency of use. For one morning shot, a single boiler or small dual boiler will be suitable. If you make multiple cups back-to-back during the day, or often have guests over who enjoy great espresso, you might prefer a larger dual boiler machine.

Blender

Early risers and smoothie lovers just seem to go hand in hand. With a grinder and blender unit, you can prepare the perfect smoothie for an energizing morning drink. Blenders will differ a lot in strength, size, and speed. In size, one blender can usually take 3 cups, while a larger one can take up to 14 cups. You can also look for blenders with speeds ranging between 3 and 10. Anything less than 3 would probably be too weak, and more than 10 could be unnecessary for you. But since blenders can do lots of other things besides smoothies—from chopping and crushing to mixing and puréeing—you might like one that does it all!

Toaster

What’s breakfast without toast? Since there are a couple of types to choose from, you’ll want to decide whether to buy a pop-up toaster or toaster oven. The pop-up type is only used to make toast, and it’s cheaper and quicker to use. These toasters usually have two or four available bread slots. On the other hand, you might prefer the toaster oven type, which you can use for other cooking needs as well. So how you plan to use the toaster will be key in determining which kind to buy.

The home appliances you have in your kitchen will make a difference in how you start your day. Starting with that first sip of coffee, your day will surely get off to a great start. There are also a bunch of other appliances from waffle makers to sandwich makers, all designed to make life easier, and the breakfast more delicious.
