Happy Orthodox Easter!

Spread the love

Finally we have fabulous spring weather here in Moscow – and it’s perfect time to go to the church, spend some time with family and even do barbecues )))

The wide spread traditions on that day in Russia is to fight with eggs (we usually dye them in red with onion skins, which symbolizes the blood of Christ), then also to display the eggs together with Kulich (Easter cake with raisins) and Pasqua (sweet cottage cheese) on the dinner table. Beforehand in the morning or the day before we bring all this food in the baskets to the church to get it blessed.

Happy Orthodox Easter to to everyone around the world! Christ is risen!
