My Blog Income Report for 2015

Spread the love

new year'sresolution2016-3

Hello, my friends!

Hope you are enjoying holidays having wonderful time with your loved ones. Here in Russia our public holidays start as from the 1st of January and our Orthodox Christmas is on the 7th of January. So now it is this time of the year, when I am usually very busy finishing all the pending work in the attempt to not to pull it with me into the next year. Also it’s time to do some accounting to understand where major of my profit came from. I never didi it before but this year I wanted to share with you my income from this little blog that I made in 2015.

INCOME

  • Sponsored posts and reviews – 8272 $
  • L’Essenziale Boutique – 6847$
  • Google adsense – 782 $
  • Ad banners – 360 $
  • Amazon affiliate program – 532 $
  • Other affiliates – 612$
  • E-design services – 400 $

Total income:  17805$

EXPENSES

  • Bluehost hosting – 107.61 $
  • Domain name registration – 14.99 $
  • Domain privacy protection – 11.88 $
  • Paypal transaction fees – 804.55 $

Total expenses: 939.03 $

Net income: 16866 $.

Here I need to mention that my total blogging income for 2014 was 2516$ and such a substantial increase makes me think that I am on the right track. Of course these figures are tiny in comparison to many successful blogs, but I am glad that something that I started solely as a place to share my ideas and thoughts has started to bring me little yet stable income. I hope my example will inspire some people and also make them believe, that making money blogging is not only possible, yet very realistic.

Some more figures.

Traffic of my blog has shown slow yet stable increase over the year: from 24182 page views in January to 30165 in November.

The top 5 most read posts were:

Majority of the earned money I have spent on settling my interior design business here in Moscow, so I was really grateful to receive this money as an initial investment.

Some readers sometimes send me emails asking what’s the best way to monetize a blog. As you can see from my figures, the great amount of profit brings my online shop. So I recommend you to think about the product that you can sell using your blog, whether it is a book, a service, a course or physical goods. Personally, I want to spend more time in 2016 promoting my online store by posting regular updates on new products and sales.

If you have any questions about monetizing a blog or about the figures that I’ve just shared, I will be happy to answer them in the comments section below.
