It’s no surprise if you’re considering North America for your new home. There are so many cities you and your family will love. Here are four of our Family Friendly Cities favorites!

1. Austin, Texas, U.S.

If you’ve often fantasized about a life in the deep south, Texas’ capital city could be the place to live your dream. Austin is known for its music, its rich history, and abundance of outdoor spaces. With around 250 parks in the city, your children will rarely have dull moments!

The cost of living is relatively low, considering it’s a huge metropolis, which means you shouldn’t be just scraping by to look after the family. There are plenty of Austin suburbs to choose from depending on what you want. This includes low traffic levels, great school links, and delicious restaurants.

2. Kirkland, Quebec, Canada

With a blend of Canadian-European, almost everything about Quebec is wonderful. Kirkland welcomes over 250 families every year. Located in southwest Quebec, its endless list of assets explains the attraction from families.

It’s clean and it’s green. As Kirkland is less densely populated than further into the city, there is less dirt, and less air pollution. The West Island has the most green spaces in Montreal, too, so there’s no excuse to sit in all day.

There’s a warming and safe sense of community here, too. You won’t be out of friends here. Convinced? Check out real estate agents in Kirkland.

3. Carmel, Indiana, U.S

Located in the suburbs of the state’s capital, Indianapolis, Carmel has been voted by various organizations as one of the safest places to live in the U.S.

The price of living isn’t exactly cheap here, but average household income helps to accommodate for that. The Indiana University Health North Hospital resides in Carmel. This is one of the top three in the country, which is a great comfort for the sake of your children, and for you as parents too.

4. Lake Chapala, Mexico

Millions of expats migrate here every year from the U.S and Canada. Their crime rates do not differ much from those of the U.S, either, for those who are apprehensive.

If you like the idea of a more luxurious laid-back life for the family, the beautiful weather is one factor that mesmerizes migrants to this part of the world. You can expect nice weather pretty much all year round, making outdoor activities more enjoyable. The healthcare here is also excellent, with foreigners able to get affordable and attainable insurance.
