Getting Ready For Summer 2020
The familiar return of crisp Spring air; the smell of wood-burning; the birdsong, and the newly returned wildflowers, we all know summer is just around the corner again. So often does it catch us off-guard and we realize we are completely unprepared for summer; however, you still thankfully, have time.
Whether you want to get fit and into shape, install a pool, or go abroad, we have compiled a list of all of the must-haves for summer 2020. Don’t let the summer pass you by this year, make it one to remember for you, your family, and your friends.
Don’t Make Trips to the Pool, Bring the Pool to You
In summer we so often take trips to the pool or the beach. Why waste time when you can bring the pool straight to you! Instead of taking friends out, bring friends in! If your house has a pool this summer you could be the number one destination for all of your friends; pool parties, get-togethers, and whatever else you fancy! Make this summer a summer to remember for the rest of your life by making it the best damn summer you can! There’s a wide array of pools you can buy, from massive to the small, wave pool to standard.
Get That Body You Want
How many times a year do you hear people, mostly men, gossiping about how they’re going to get in shape for the summer, but when summer rolls around they’re still out of shape and still haven’t made the effort to reach their dreams. Don’t be one of these people! Get into a gym as quickly as you can or formulate a routine you can work at, at home, so you can get your summer body ready for when June rolls around. If you’re not a gym person, there are plenty of home workouts you can do, such as the Navy SEAL workout which is a compilation of bodyweight exercises used by the Navy SEAL teams of the U.S. Army.
Book A Holiday Now While It’s Cheap!
It is not new news that when the summer rolls around and you attempt to book a holiday that the prices go up astronomically. If you act sensibly and book your holiday now you can get it for a fraction of the price, otherwise, your vacation may have to wait until the summer of 2021! If you act quickly you may just beat the mid-May rush that sees flights full and hotels overbooked. When the lockdown comes to an end, what better way to spend the summer than on a white-sanded beach in paradise?
Get Involved In Some Sports?
Summer is a time when everybody emerges from their houses and the world seemingly comes alive. What better time to take up a sport than in the glorious summertime? Whether you decide tennis, badminton, or football, be sure to take up something low intensity if you have not exercised for a while. With this summer predicted to be the hottest in generations you do not want to overexert yourself and cause yourself problems in the long run, whether with heat stroke or heat rash. Act sensibly and play sports according to their particular guidelines and be sure to bring lots of water in case the heat becomes a bit too overwhelming for you!
Take Up Hiking!
Summer can be a great time to develop a newfound love and admiration for nature. The trees vibrant and the songbirds dancing between branches can be enough for anybody to realize the beauty that lies on their doorstep. Too often in our digitized age we have become blind to the beauty of the world outside of our computers, so why not do something productive this summer and step outside! Take a deep breath, take in the summer air, the smell of fallen pine cones, and advance out into nature! Nature walking can be a beautiful hobby. Whether you go bird watching or just follow nature trails, there is always something to do and something to see, and not only that it can keep you very physically fit and in condition.
Why don’t you go and check out some of your local natural reserves or nature parks? You’ll be surprised how refreshing the comforting isolation of nature can be on a hot summer’s day. If you start now, you may continue it until you’re an old man or woman!
Whatever you do this summer be sure to keep hydrated to fight off symptoms of heat exhaustion. You should always exercise caution when dealing with hot climates, as it can very often get to you and become difficult to manage or deal with. Be sure to rub lots of sunscreens on, too, to protect yourself from those damaging U.V. rays!
