Villa En El Rosario (Marbella, Spain)
In today’s post, I wanted to share with you the progress over the interior design project I am currently working on – five bedroom villa in Marbella, Spain. The house is located in a beautiful and picturesque location – on the slope of the mountain with a tremendous sea view.
The last major renovation was around ten years ago, so all rooms look quite dated. Here is a couple of photos of how the interior looked before we started to work on it.
A mixture of different styles, furniture, colors, and materials create a quite oppressive and gloomy look. I had a feeling that the house is missing the light and a sense of unity, continuity. My clients requested rustic style, close to French country or Provence, so that’s the direction I was given to take. Here are some visuals that I prepared during the project development.
This is the living room united with dining area. Creamy pink walls are combined beige marble floor and wooden, rustic furniture. Grey textile balance the color scheme and make it look more refined.
Here is the master bedroom. For the walls, I have picked a saturated beige hue with some olive undertone. The furniture is light colored and creates a contrast. Built in wardrobe has a small dressing table as the ending. Blue and light grey textiles add a sense of tranquility and calmness to the space.
Here is one of the guest bedrooms. I added more of ethnic vibes and used red and orange colors as warm accents:
Another guest bedroom is smaller, so I allocated a smaller bed and compact furniture so the room doesn’t look too clumsy.
For the master bathroom, I have picked light travertine walls and grey marble for the floor:
Powder room is a bit more quirky. I used the combination of dark green marble, glass mosaics and beige paint. Stone sink on the floating shelf combined with wooden mirror create rustic, authentic feel:
In the upcoming posts I will share the other rooms in this villa and hopefully soon, the real photos of the finished house after renovation. For this renderings, we used 3D Max, Photoshop and Autocad. Read more
