The Frame, Samsung’s New TV that makes Interior Design flawless

The Frame is the conceptual television signed by Samsung that allows the user to access to more than 800 works of art, paintings, photographs and artistic images, designed to be shown when the TV is in standby mode.

It will surely fit in a Smart Home design as we previusly seen here.

It is the revision of a model that arrived in the year 2017. The Frame is a worthy successor of the Samsung Serif that we saw some time ago. A concept of television that moves away from what we have seen so far to achieve a greater integration with home decoration even if the TV is off. A model that now makes the leap and arrives now in Europe.

Technical information

Until this moment The Frame was available only in the United States and now makes the leap to the old continent, where it will arrive in 4 sizes, including the format of 43 inches that would fit even small apartments. This model has 4K UHD LCD panels, that are compatible with HDR10+, which are the main technologies we could ask for. The design includes the possibility of changing the frames between four available colors (white, black, beige and oak), to match our Interior Design.

In addition and given that it is a model in which aesthetics prevail, it could not miss the hidden cable system “One Invisible Connection” that transmits the video signal and the power to the TV as it happens with the advanced QLED models of the brand in a single connection. This utility is supported by the external “One Connect” connection box.

The new series of The Frame of 2018 also presents a renewed user interface that in theory will be easier to use, especially when browsing through the different art collections available.

Smart TV

To facilitate its integration, Samsung offers  options for a wall mounting or placing it on a stand on the table. In addition, this edition has incorporated the Samsung Smart Hub menu, the SmartThings platform to control the connected equipment of the home and the Bixby voice assistant. Accessing to Netflix, Amazon or HBO platforms, now can be made in style.

Price and availability

The Samsung The Frame can already be found in Europe in some markets, the USA, NZ and more locations are to come soon. For example, in United Kingdom it can be purchased from Amazon. The starting price of 999 pounds on the 43-inch model would surely fit more Interior Design budgets.
