Poached Eggs With Smoked Salmon Recipe
This is the recipe for a wonderful delight for breakfast – poached eggs with salmon! They are very nutritious and tasty, and which is also very important – fast and easy to make. Salmon is a wonderful source of antioxidants as well as vitamin B12, Vitamin D and Selenium.
Preparation time: 15 minutes.
Here are the ingredients that you will need to make 2 portions of eggs:
- 4 eggs (make sure they are really fresh)
- 2 table spoon white wine vinegar
- bread
- a little butter for spreading
- 8 slices smoked salmon
- chopped chives or any other herbs and pepper to serve
Preparation:
- To poach the eggs, bring the water to the boil and add the vinegar. Lower the heat in order to make the water simmer gently. Stir the water to make a small whirlpool (this will help to wrap the white around the yolk), then put in the eggs one by one (I prefer to crack them individually into a ramekin or cup). Cook each for about 4 mins, then remove with a slotted spoon. Tip: never salt the water as it will break the white and make it go wispy.
- Lightly toast the bread, spread some butter and then put a couple of slices of salmon on each. Top each with an egg and garnish with chopped chives, herbs and pepper. Bon appetite!
