Louis Kazan Interior Design Award at Salone Del Mobile
One of the most interesting events that I have attended recently was Interior Design Award organized by luxury furniture manufacturer Louis Kazan at Salone Del Mobile.
During the exhibition, which recently took place in Milan, Brazilian brand Louis Kazan has awarded best interior designers and architects from all over the world. The Certificate of Recognition was given to participants by Ambassador of Brazil in Italy.
Among awarded designers and architects were Justin Wells (UAE), Bjarni Breidfjord (France), Andrea Annoni (Qatar/ Russia), Yury Zimenko (Ukraine), Andre Caricio (Brazil), Joia Bergamo (Brazil), Artemis Fontana (Brazil), Romero Duarte (Brazil), Marcio Bompean (Brazil).
For me it was a chance to talk to great professionals and get their insights about the industry as well as some advise on how to achieve success in this field. For example, Justin Wells said that it is important for any designer “to think with a pen”, so basically to learn how to communicate your ideas with quick sketches. He also mentioned about the importance of scale planning and ability to imagine a floor plan in 3 dimensions.
Louis Kazan’s founders, Luiz Mário Moura and Graça Kazan, mentioned that this event will become a tradition and will take place annually during Salone Del Mobile.
Louis Kazan produces high-end furniture for more than twenty years and is a leading manufacturer in Brazil in the luxury segment. The brand is also well known in the United States and among the clients who used its furniture in their homes were Madonna, Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman, Denzel Washington e Michael Jordan.
The specialty of Brazilian brand is that every piece is entirely handmade using exotic woods that grow solely on the South American continent.
