Louis Kazan Opens Showroom in Kiev

I am really glad that more and more luxury furniture brands start to pay attention to our region which means that we (designers) will be able to use in our projects very exclusive and original furniture pieces. One of my favorite furniture makers – Brazilian manufacturer Louis Kazan will soon be opening showrooms first in Kiev and then in Moscow and I am really looking forward to these events. In Kiev the showroom will be located in Domosphera Shopping Mall in Giorgo Concept store and the actual launch will be done during upcoming exhibition Interior Mebel which starts on the 17th of February where they will present to the public their most iconic designs:

1.Volpi Dining table – I have recently written about it, when it won the international design award, and it is one of my favorite pieces too. It is named after Alfredo Volpi – prominent Brazilian artist. The overlapping affect of square base reminds of his famous artworks. The internal division of the base can be made in different materials, for example leather or various woods.

2. Olinda Coffee table. It totally represents Brazilian spirit with its diversity and joyfulness. Presented here in red colour, it can actually be customized with the colour you want and also combine wood, lacquer, crystal and leather all on one piece. This is a very versatile object and can be easily incorporated both in traditional or modern interiors. This table was named after the historic city in Brazil famous for its Carnival – popular street party. People in colourful costumes join together to have fun – their spirit and joy have found reflection in this unique piece. The Olinda table is made of solid wood structure and natural veneer lamination.

3. Iguape Shelf. Initially Louis Kazan had Iguape bench among their designs, but when designers accidentally put it upside down they had an idea that it can be used as a shelf – that’s how Iguape shelf was born. It doesn’t have any back or front, and it is perfect for those who appreciate contemporary living and open plan layouts. It can be used as an original room divider too. The floating shelves create a feeling of lightness. 100% brightness resin applied to shelves allows to make different configurations according to your needs. The structure of shelves is made of steel covered with natural wood veneer, so it is very solid and lasting.

4. Urutau Home Theater. Named after a bird living in Latin America this beautiful furniture piece is an amazing blend of natural materials and modern forms. I really love how rustic wooden texture is mixed with glass. One of those pieces which make a statement once placed in the room. It is available in sheer or lacquer with a crystal top.

5. Caliandra Dining Table.

Another my favorite piece that I even included in my selection of the most luxurious dining tables in the world. It has a very intricate yet elegant round base made of vertical woodslats. The top can be made of glass or wood.
