It’s been more than a year since I last went on vacation ( last year it was in Greece). Summer is over and I feel like I really need to take at least several days off before I feel entirely burnt out. It’s true; we really do need these breaks away from reality to recharge the batteries.
So in today’s post I felt it would be good to look at the different accommodation options available when you take a vacation. See, I’m a hotel girl at heart, but I realise that a lot of people aren’t. So, I came up with this list of accommodation options you might want to try when you go away.
Hotel
This is the classic accommodation option for most people, and the one that I most prefer. To me, nothing beats staying in a luxury hotel for the duration of your trip. You can focus on being pampered and enjoying room service. I always take the time to pick the perfect hotel for me before I even book my trip. You should get online and check out the options on offer. Also, make sure you read reviews of the hotels before you book anything.
Apartment
If you’re after something a little different, you might want to forgo the hotel, and try out a stay in some apartments. The advantage of apartments is that they allow you all to stay together as friends and family. You’re also going to be able to enjoy more space and freedom staying in an apartment. So if that’s something that is important to you, then you need to consider this as an option.
Crash With Friends
For a lot of people, they like to take the unplanned approach. If you have friends that live abroad why not take a vacation there. That way you’ll be able to catch up with your friends. And you can crash with your friends. This will save you money on having to shell out for a hotel. Staying with someone you know is always a positive thing. But make sure you call ahead first and check that it’s all okay!
Tent
I used to go camping a lot when I was younger, and I loved it. I haven’t been in a long while, and I don’t know if I’d enjoy it as much anymore. But a lot of you will still love the camping experience. And if you do then a tent is the perfect accommodation choice for you. It’s comfy, cosy and allows for a more stripped back vacation. If you want to go camping, you’re going to need to pick out the perfect tent for you and the rest of the party.
As you can see, there are plenty of accommodation options you can choose from. And many of these are things you might not have tried before. The accommodation is a big part of the vacation experience. I place a lot of value on where I stay, so it needs to be enjoyable. Consider these options next time you take your vacation. Â
