Boscolo is an established Interior Design Studio based in London specializing in design services for high-end residences. In today’s post I want to share with you one of their recent projects – amazingly beautiful family home located in a private gated development in the heart of Hampstead, where they undertook the entire renovation.
The designers have picked elegant neutral colour scheme with warm beiges, off-whites, browns and black used as background with golden and brass accents that add glamour and chic to the space. Neutral colours create a very relaxing and calming feel, none of the colours look overwhelming or flashy. All the elements bond together in a very harmonious and natural way, turning this home into an oasis of splendid serenity.
The property was decorated in contemporary style with some classic elements, such as spectacular crystal chandelier in the entryway. Black round table below and interesting artwork on the opposite wall create a sense of drama. Dining room with eight beautiful chairs has luxurious designer dining table in sleek minimalistic forms with glossy tabletop and square brass legs.
To achieve balanced and tranquil look designers used the principles of symmetry when items in the room are mirrored along a central axis. Two accent chairs, two identical sofas, pairs of lamps and other accessories – symmetry is used throughout the whole residence. This living room is a wonderful example how you can avoid one of the biggest design mistake – placing all the furniture items against the walls. Here two sofas are put opposite each other, while long console table with lamps and accessories, as well as two grey poufs were used to disguise the back of one of them. To avoid the space looking too static and dull, designers introduced lots of texture and pattern: luxurious rug made of natural skin, velvet pillows on the leather sofa, marble side table and lamps with sculptural metal bases.
Furniture and accessories
Among my favorites is this gorgeous credenza with rhomboid shaped handles and pattern on the doors.
Two beautiful black and gold vases and interesting sculpture that represents several men sitting in a row are used to decorate its top. I also fell in love with this amazing side table finished in black faux stingray leather with intricate golden handles.
