Scandinavian Home in Biarritz With Bohemian Touch
Hello, friends!
Today I want to share with you a house tour of the beautiful Scandinavian home in Biarritz that I found in Vtwonen. The owners purchased this house built in the 1940s in terrible condition – basically the walls and the roof, so they did amazing work with the renovation because how it looks now is simply stunning.
Painted all in white it produces a radiant, shining effect. Natural wooden furniture and wicker accessories give the interiors warmth and the Scandinavian feel. Vintage linen, lace, and furs look very rustic and also very cozy. Pastel colours used as accents here and there, together with vintage pieces and recycled finds give the house a retro feel.
Without so many interesting objects put on display this rustic kitchen with all white walls and ceiling would look too sterile and uninviting. Antique looking tiles on the floor look very eye-catching and create an interesting visual effect, resembling an area rug put on the concrete floor. I really love this pendant light made of large wooden beads and a chalkboard door with an inviting inscription:
The bedroom has a definite bohemian look with this gorgeous chandelier, crocheted blanket and hand weaved cotton mat on the floor :
Elevated wooden bed in the kids room has plenty of storage, and the pink flamingo looks super cute:
I was looking where I could find this gorgeous wicker headboard and actually found something very similar in this shop on Etsy:
Round jute rugs are very trendy right now and you can get very beautiful pieces at Garde:
All kids just love wigwams! and actually you can make a similar teepee tent yourself – here is how:
Do you like this house? Looking forward to your comments!
