The Color of Pomegranates”
In today’s post we would like to present a beautiful project called “The Color of Pomegranates” by Anastasia Fedorovskaya, founder of the design studio ANFEDO. This interior translates the rich tapestry of an iconic film—its ethnic motifs, refined lines, and bold color contrasts—into a deeply personal space for art collectors, where every piece tells a story.

- Project Name: The Color of Pomegranates
- Exclusive: Yes
- Status: Completed
- Year of implementation: 2025
- Location: Moscow, Russia
- Type: Apartment
- Area: 115 m²
The poetic universe of Sergei Parajanov’s film, “The Color of Pomegranates”, dedicated to the Armenian poet Sayat-Nova, lies at the very heart of this interior concept. This cinematic masterpiece provided the foundational codes: the ethnic motifs of Central Asia, a philosophy of the surrounding world’s “imperfect perfection”, exquisitely refined lines, and—as a striking contrast—a bold kaleidoscope of hues.

To craft this vision, Anastasia Fedorovskaya immersed herself in the film’s imagery, meticulously capturing its frames and transposing their essence into the language of design and architecture. She sought out forms, textures, and a palette that would ensure every corner of the home resonates with the aesthetic echoes of Parajanov’s work.

Woven into this fabric is the deeply personal narrative of the clients—a couple of passionate art collectors for whom these apartments were conceived. Each artifact in their collection, painstakingly selected, lovingly restored, or journeyed from a distant corner of the world, transcends mere decoration. These pieces become guardians of personal stories, tangible markers of memory for generations to come. This project is a testament to how personal history is woven into the very interior, transforming a house into a carefully curated collection of life itself.
