Today I would like to share with you a wonderful collection of handmade furniture created by Swiss-based designer Oliver Rudin.
Pure lines, concise forms and eco-friendliness are the hallmarks of his works. All materials the furniture is made of can be recycled. Playing with shapes, principles of geometry and different materials, he proves that even the most minimalistic furniture should have some intricate details.
One of the key features of furniture designed by Oliver Rudin is its functionality and he pays a lot of attention to such design principles as ergonomics, comfort and practicality.
It is considered that the first thing a designer or an architect should project is a chair. Oliver Rudin has accomplished this task already few times and presented to a public several chairs with very stylish look.Principles of geometry were involved for balancing this quirky table with asymmetrical design. Round wooden top which can be executed in different striking colours is supported by the basement made of steel wire. This multipurpose piece has many options for use: you can involve it as a seat, side table or a coffee table.Roll this wonderful side table to any corner of your house and you can be sure that it will remain still – the steel foot ensures the stability and fixation. Since this table is made of weather resistant materials it can be used in the garden too. This wonderful serving table serves as magazine holder too. Because of its classic and humble look it can be incorporated almost in any interior.
I have chosen my favourite pieces and the rest you can see on Oliver’s website.
