Learn 3 Creative Ways to Transform Your House Using Accessories
Do you feel like changing the look of your home or add something to the door? A wide range of accessories are available in the market and even nature, but still if they don’t suit your needs you can also create your own! Adding a few accessories in a room can greatly change the appearance positively and add to the decor, you don’t have to redecorate, simply add some colour and attraction!
1) SEASONAL CHANGES
Think of the perfect, vast world outside and use it as an inspiration to decorate your indoor. Fresh flowers in a gorgeous vase will do for any table of mantel in spring or summer along with colourful rugs and throws, just be inspired by the colours and bloom! For winter dark colours are always noticeable and a bare plant or wooden tables is the way to go, a pumpkin can always be used as a centerpiece or napkins with printed snowflakes etc.
2) USING MULTIPLE ITEMS
If you have a canvas picture or a framed mirror up on the wall it would look even better if you couple it up with another or maybe two more. Multiple identical or slightly varied items provide an accent and increase the focus of your gorgeous accessory. When choosing centre pieces this can be applied by not going for something huge in the middle on a cornered table but a few small items such as candles on vases will look equally great but unique and more interesting. The items can be slightly varied as for example 3 mirrors may have the same size, shape and same colour of the frame but the design of the frame may vary, or colour theme of pictures may be the same but the pictures can be different.
3) CREATING DISPLAY ARRANGEMENTS
A section, shelf or corner etc. can be devoted to a certain theme to base a decor arrangement upon by placing objects next to similar objects keeping in mind the colour scheme of the display. If you are a music fan then a mantel can be used to place a number of musical instruments along with a cheap canvas of your inspiring artist leaned against the wall and maybe hang up some records on the wall above! For a calm and ocean-inspired theme a blue wall can hold an aquarium or shelf with a fishbowl maybe or seashells and frames pictures of your trip to an island. Think of what you find interesting and accordingly create an arrangement.
