4 Interior Design Trends for 2017
Good morning, dear friends!
Today I have decided to make my input in predicting interior trends for 2017.
Trends in the interior design world come and go within the blink of an eye. It always seems that there’s something new on Pinterest to try out, or something that HGTV is telling you that you just have to have inside your home. It can be hard to keep up with all the new DIY ideas, and all the new material that’s being used for countertops, and even the new styles that are brand new, or are coming back in style from years ago.
I did a little research in this area to help you gather some ideas about what’s going to be in style for interior design in 2017. From looking at Pinterest and other places online, this is a small compilation of what people are looking to do to the inside of their home within the next year. Hopefully this helps you find some inspiration for what you may do in your very own home.
Marble Decor
Marble is going to be a huge design trend for the interior of your home in 2017.
It will add a nice, regal look to any kitchen counter. However, you can take it a step further, and take the marble outside of your kitchen. How about an awesome Cracked Natural Marble Mural for your walls?
The Rustic Farmhouse Style
Out with the new, and in with the old. This style has been making its way into the trends for the past few years, and it’s not going away anytime soon.
The country, American-styled home is very welcoming, and very hospitable. With lots of little accessories and odds and ends to really make your home stick out and give it lots of character. A key component to this style is the wear and tear on big pieces of furniture, like the bench pictured below.
House Plants: Succulents
Little cacti and other succulents are a great way to put greenery into your home. The best part? Not only are they very trendy right now, but they’re extremely easy to take care of. They don’t need the time and attention other household plants would need, and their small enough that you can place them almost anywhere. You can even make your own DIY planters for them that will look rustic and chic.
Fireplaces
Another trend that brings back the old and gets rid of the new. From using rock, or even marble (as mentioned above) to decorate around the fireplace, it can really tie the whole room together.
Fireplaces are a wonderful piece for your living or family room, and they’re also functional. They’re a fantastic way to keep your whole home warm in the middle of a bitter winter. If your home can’t have a fireplace put in, however, and you’re still feeling that winter chill, it may be time to get your heating system inspected. You can try looking at heating and cooling contractor for assistance.
