Favorite Product: Inhotim Coffee Table

Writing from a warm and sunny Washington D.C. Lovely weather here and it is so nice to finally feel the spring.
Recently I have decided to make a monthly post about my favorite furniture pieces. So today I want to write about beautiful coffee table called Inhotim manufactured by Brazilian furniture maker Louis Kazan.
It was named after British Architect who lived and worked in Brazil. His first name Tim pronounced together with the word Senhor (Mr. in Portuguese) transformed in “Inhotim”. His house today has become Museum of Modern art and is located not far from the factory, where Louis Kazan produces its furniture.
The first thing that catches attention in this gorgeous item is the unexpected combination of the crystal top and rustic wooden base. These two materials from different styles and epochs used together make this table very unique.
The table is made of the very old tree parts that a local tree farm had in stock for more than 20 years. Left under the sun and rain for many years they acquired very rustic and rough texture, which designers thought to use as a unique feature.
This table is a great example of how interesting natural elements can be incorporated into design, when their beauty will not be disguised but even more highlighted. Simple square form doesn’t distract attention so that the gorgeous texture of this incredible piece plays the chief role.
I would compliment this table with modern midcentury chairs and comfortable sofa in neutral colours so the whole attention is given to this statement piece.
Brazilian Modern design is becoming one of the major trends in 2016 – people are fascinated by exotic materials and unusual textures found in this amazing country. However, I must mention that Inhotim table is definitely one of those timeless pieces that will never look outdated in your home.
