My Trip to New York
Hello, hello my lovely readers!
I’ve been missing you a lot, and probably you are wondering where I have disappeared and why didn’t write for so long.
The thing is that past couple of weeks I was in the United States. It is an amazing weather over here – sometimes we have summer like this in Moscow, and I really don’t want to go back so soon but unfortunately I have to and my return tickets to Russia are already bought…
On a brighter note – I have spent an amazing weekend in New York!! It was my dream to visit this city and I really enjoyed every minute of it.
I stayed in the small hotel on the Times Square and this was an unforgettable experience. I travelled quite a lot but never in this world I have seen a city with so much energy in it. You see plenty of people on the streets from all over the world, they smile, they laugh and some of them even sing. Honestly, at some point I wanted to stand on the Times Square and sing as well. Before traveling I have made a huge list of things which I want to see in NYC, which included the most of its attractions, such as the Metropolitan museum, the Moma, the Guggenheim museum. I ended up visiting none of them: when I arrived to the city, I was so obsessed with its energy and lifestyle – I just wanted to walk around the streets all day long.
Architecture in New York is incredible. It is very eclectic but at the same time it looks complete and united.
I made a walk along the 5th avenue and found the library where Carrie and Mr. Big got married:
On the same street there was one very cool shop selling natural stones, corals and interesting home decor items made of them (it costs a fortune though!):
Andaz Hotel on the 5th avenue is probably one of the most posh place to stay in NYC:
Gastronomic experience was also unforgettable. You can find here almost every cuisine of the world:
One of the coolest thing that I did was the tour around Manhattan on the boat. Definitely a must-do thing in NYC:
One of the things that really disappointed was the subway – it is one of the dirtiest and scariest places I every seen (well, maybe I am just comparing it to Moscow metro)…
I have just come back from NYC but I already feel like going back there again. It is now definitely on my list of the places, where I want to return.
