So it’s officially the Christmas season and everyone has begun preparing for the most festive time of year. You might have family traditions that you partake in every year. This could be anything from settling down on Christmas Eve to watch a movie together or going to Church on Christmas Day.  Whatever you do, it is a time for loving, giving, and spending a whole lot of time together.

Tree

Christmas is a wonderful time of year, even if you aren’t the biggest fan and a bit of a scrooge it is lovely walking or driving around seeing all the pretty lights on and inside the houses. The tree you could say is the centerpiece of Christmas. Most people have one and some people even put their presents under them. If you are getting a tree then there are a couple of options available to you and your family. 

You could opt for an artificial tree, the benefit of these is that they can be put up and taken down year after year and don’t require any maintenance. You could also choose a real tree, there is just something about a real tree at Christmas that gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. Real trees need slightly more time and care given to them. They need a pot with water so they don’t dry out. You will spend a lot of time picking up shed needles unless you get one of the trees that doesn’t drop as many needles. 

Whichever tree you choose, everyone including the children can get involved in decorating it. Your children may make Christmas decorations at school or nursery which you can hang to show off their hard work. 

Food 

Everyone gets excited about food at Christmas time. You might be familiar with the saying calories in December don’t count. Be wary you don’t overindulge as you could be making extra work for yourself come January. Shops are now filling their shelves with all the wonderful delights such as Yule log and pig in blankets. 

Everyone sitting together at the table enjoying a festive feast is amazing on Christmas Day and it gives everyone a chance to relax and have a good time. There are no stresses on Christmas, just fun-filled family days. 

Outings

Nothing says Christmas like going out as a family to all the wonderful sites and activities. You could go ice skating or to a winter wonderland. Winter wonderlands usually have fake snow globes where you can stand in and get covered in artificial snow. Go on and make a snow angel while you are there.
