New Project: Apartment Inspired By Autumn in Puerto Banus, Marbella
In today’s post I want to share the visuals of the current interior design project that I am working on – two-bedroom apartment in Puerto Banus, Marbella.
The most beautiful space in this apartment is the spacious 30 m2 terrace with amazing view over the garden with lush vegetation.
The request from the clients was to divide this room into two areas – lounge zone and home fitness. I used bamboo pergola to add extra privacy and also to make it feel more cozy. Elegant outdoor furniture is complimented with comfy textiles and decor. I was inspired by autumn flower bouquets when creating this color scheme:
Plants always add more life to any space. Here I also used tall bamboo trees to visually divide the room. It separates fitness zone from the rest of the space, without stealing the feel of airiness.
Apart from being beautiful and comfortable, any room needs to be funcional as well. That’s why I paid extra attention to provide enough storage. To make sure that the room is clean and well organized, you need to include some spacious cupboards which could be used to store cleaning equipment and other things, that you want to disguise from the view.
Hammock on the terrace or balcony always make the space feel very relaxed and carefree – a perfect spot to enjoy a favorite book or Netflix series on an iPad.
I continued with the similar color scheme throughout the whole house to create a sense of continuity and connection between different rooms. In the living rooms I added some deeper, more intense hues – burgundy and saturated blues. Pastel pinks and greens make the room very feminine and inviting.
The wall in front of the sofa looked very long and very empty. I opted for a long credenza made of walnut wood.
Yellow and pink metals add glamour and elegance, while variety of textures creates depth and sophistication. Gorgeous wallpaper behind the sofa is from Omexco. The sofa itself is from the Swiss brand Vitra.
In the upcoming posts I will share another rooms of this apartment – the kitchen, the bedroom and the kids room.
What do you think about this project? Looking forward to your comments!
