Design Features of the World’s Most Luxurious Cruise Ship Suite
The world’s most luxurious cruise ship, Regent Seven Seas Splendor is set to debut in February 2020. One of the most talked-about features of this striking new cruise ship is the top suite, which is set to be not only the largest suite at sea, but also the most luxurious.
The largest suite at sea
At 4,433 square feet, the Regent Suite is absolutely huge by the standards of any hotel suite, let alone for a cruise ship. At over five times the size of the average UK home, there Regent Suite has plenty of space to relax. And with a location above the ship’s bridge, it offers the world’s best sea views too.
Luxurious features
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has spared no expense when it comes to furnishing the Regent Suite. The bed is a hand-crafted Vividus bed by Hastens, reported to have cost $200,000. Handmade by four master artisans in Sweden and featuring a pinewood frame, steel springs and layers of flax, horsehair and cotton and wool batting, it took 18 months and 300 hours of labour to build.
Designed by Tillberg Design of Sweden, the interiors of the suite are clad in marble and onyx, accented with rich leathers, dark oak and shiny brass with lots of mirror details.
The suite sleeps up to six guests, but has a private 12-seat dining room, should guests want to entertain in their suite. It features two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms as well as spacious living areas. There’s also a 1300 square-foot private veranda with a custom-made Tresse mini-pool, offering 270-degree views of the ocean.
In a cruise ship first, the Regent Suite also features the only in-suite spa retreat at sea. The suite comes with its own private spa complete with a sauna, steam room and hot tub as well as unlimited spa treatments.
Cruising on Seven Seas Splendor
Stays in the Regent Suite on Seven Seas Splendor come with an all-inclusive price of $11,000 per night based on double occupancy. So popular is it, that the suite rapidly sold out for almost all of the ship’s 2020 cruises soon after the itineraries went on sale.
Even with the high price tag, luxury cruises on Regent Seven Seas Splendor offer excellent value for money with a whole host of included extras such as flights, private chauffeur transfers, pre-cruise hotel stays, a personal car and guide to explore every port and a personal butler whilst at sea.
Due to sail to Miami, San Diego and New York on her maiden voyage, the 750-passenger cruise ship will also go on to visit some of Europe’s best cruise destinations including the Greek Islands and French Riviera.
