In today’s post we want to share the amazing Norman Club Chair created by talented designer Rauf Aliyev.
Norman club chair has very sleek minimalistic shape. A circle was used as the essence of the design and its main inspiration.
In many cultures a circle is perceived as the ultimate perfect form that symbolises eternity, completeness, pure substance without the beginning or the end. Many religions gave it a sacral meaning: often it was representing the sun, the earth, and the moon.
Curvelinear forms make this chair look very soft and elegant. It will look perfect as the accent piece in a living room, bedroom or office. Versatile and functional design suggests the use both in residential and commercial spaces.
The round seat has two metal supports that hold half-round uphostered backrest, which in its turn also has the shape of a circle – the tube to be exact. Light beige and dark brown create a nice contrast, yet looking very organically and elegant together.
About the designer
Born in Azerbaijan, Baku in 1994. Rauf Aliyev graduated from the Akdeniz University in Interior and Product Design. After graduation he was in charge of major projects in Istanbul: the restaurants, homes, offices, showrooms.
During this time he visited many countries and closely followed their traditions, lifestyles, architectures and galleries.
This exciting situation inspires his interior and product designs.
His design concept is involved with the relationship between craftsmanship, bold colors, textures, details, natural light and the perfect finishing.Recently he is working on his own interior and product design projects between New York and Istanbul.
