Our New Project: Apartment For Two Inspired By Spring
Our interior design studio in Marbella has recently completed new project. This cozy and minimalist apartments is relatively small – 66 square meters and has unusual layout. Tall windows provide plenty of light in the living room and bedroom. We used light colour palette to maximize this effect and make the rooms look airy and spacious.
We used royal blue and burgundy as accent colours in the living room. Together with wooden textures they give warmth and coziness to the space. We used tall sliding panel laminated with marble effect as the divider between living room and the kitchen.
Beautifully lit TV wall cabinets create a wonderful, relaxing ambience in the evening.
The client requested to separate the entrance area to provide more privacy and intimacy to the living room. However, we didn’t want to make the space look smaller because of it. That’s why we used Matt glass panels with sliding doors to define this area. Another sliding door with huge mirror is leading to the wardrobe and provides the entrance area extra volume.
The bedroom continues the subtle beige and grey colour palette, this time with dark green used as an accent. Wooden wall panel behind the bed together with pendant lights creates interesting visual effect. The inspiration was taken from nature – warm wood, greenery, wall art – all remind of the freshness of the spring forest.
We removed the divider between the room and the balcony uniting these two spaces. Elegant bar table and a bench create a cozy nook with a beautiful city view.
We thought a lot about making the space practical and providing enough storage. Both balcony and the bedroom have large floor to ceiling wardrobes.
The kitchen is one of the coziest spaces in this apartment. Not only a place to cook, it has a sofa and a dining table for family breakfasts and dinners. The inspiration for the design of this room was taken from nature: its revival and blooming in spring.
The pearl grey colour of the walls remind of the snow melting, gorgeous chandelier imitate water drops and icicles, huge painting with flowers sets a romantic mood.
For the bathroom we used light marble for walls and flooring.
The wooden elements are the same color as in the rest of the apartment creating the sense of continuity and flow.
Again, providing enough storage was one of our main priorities. We used both open shelves and closed cupboards, one of which disguised the washing and drying machine.
Built in LED stripes in the shelves create beautiful ambient lighting, while recessed in the ceiling lamps provide generous general lighting.
