What Is Nebulizing Essential Oil Diffuser And How Does It Work?
Have you heard about nebulizing essential oil diffuser? I have recently got one from Organic aromas and seriously think that it have been the best addition to my home in 2019. In this post I want to share detailed review about it, as well as describe how nebulizing diffuser works and why it is better than any other essential oil diffuser.
But before that let’s talk about aromatherapy and essential oils in general and why you should consider it for improving your health and well-being.
Essential oils
Essential oils are extracts from leaves, roots or stems of plants. Essential oils are valued for their aromatic as well as healing properties. Since ancient times, humans have been interested in aromatic plants, using them for making medicine and perfumes.
Many historical figures, such as, for example, Cleopatra, were well aware of the healing power of plants and used their medicinal properties.
Modern medical science has given new meaning to the study of plants – the progress leads to the search for new sources of remedies for various diseases. And a proven scientific fact is that essential oils have a positive effect on our physical and emotional state. They help to relax, remove the body tension, fight seasonal depressions and daily stress.
The Intrepid Explorer Aromatherapy Diffuser Kit from Organic aromas contains the set of 40 different pure essential oils: 16 blends exclusive to Organic Aromas, 14 individual pure essential oils and 10 certified organic essential oils. Each custom, glass vial contains 2 milliliters of pure essential oil.
The nebulizing diffuser comes beautifully and safely packaged and contains three parts: ceramic base, glass top and power cable. The difference of Organic Aromas diffuser is that it has ceramic hand crafted base in black or white color and hand blown glass reservoir reminiscent of a wine decanter. All other diffusers have base made in other materials.
It is very easy and pretty straight forward to assemble it: just place the glass top on the ceramic base and plug the cable. With the turning switch you can control the power and the amount of essential oil spread in the air.
What is nebulizing essential oil diffuser?
“A nebulizing diffuser works like a perfume atomizer. A small air pump blows air across a small tube creating a powerful vacuum that pulls the essential oil from the bottom of the tube to the top in a fine spray.” (source)
The difference with ultrasonic diffusers is that they don’t require water as a transference mechanism, hence they don’t grow mold or fungus. Also, they are much more powerful, since the molecules of essential oils are not blended with water. Almost instantly you feel the essential oil aroma spread in the air and it requires several minutes to feel the room filled with the gorgeous scent. So far I used the ready blends from the set, but I am planning to challenge my perfumer talent and try to mix pure essential oils in different combinations.
How to use nebulizing diffuser?
The use is very simple: you just need to add 20-25 drops of essential oils on the bottom of glass reservoir, connect the diffuser to the power and touch the switch button.
The diffuser also has the LED light, which makes it perfect to use as a night lamp in the bedroom.
To maintain the nebulizing diffuser in a perfect condition you need to clean it every now and then. The procedure is quite simple as well:
1. Use the dropper (comes with a kit) to add a few milliliters of plain rubbing alcohol (70-95% purity) to the glass reservoir.
2. Next power on the diffuser and let it run for five or ten minutes in order to clean the micro-tubes.
3. Dispense of the leftover alcohol and let your diffuser air dry.
I love to use the essential oil diffuser in bedroom – few minutes of aromatherapy provide me a better night sleep and ultimate relaxation.
I also love how its sleek and minimalist design compliments the decor of my bedroom. I think it could be a perfect gift idea for upcoming Christmas or any other occasion:
