Country Meets Modern In This Cozy Ural House
The concept of this project, recently accomplished by Anastasia Kolomentseva, an architect from Chelyabinsk (Russia, is to create a concise functional interior filled with air and sunlight for a young family with two children. The new wooden house is surrounded by the birch forest, which designer let into the interior, preserving the atmosphere of wood, natural achromats and picturesque prints. Simple shapes and a quiet range of natural shades emphasize the contrast of textures and graphic art of local artists.

Storage system, which includes a fireplace, with a wall as a projector screen, is made with the use of marble and tinted glass designed by the author of the project.
Grey and beige colour paletted is complimented with metallic accents and mustard yellow accent textiles, which add warmth and cosyness to the space.
The kitchen cabinets designed by Anastasia are made to order in the local carpenter’s workshop. The dining table with a folding mechanism is by Sedit, King.
The master bedroom is a relaxing retreat filled with sunglight and natural materials. Modern design of a headboard harmoniously compliments the natural wood walls. Blue and beige colour palette is very calming – what a perfect combination for a bedroom! The bed, banquet, wall panels, pouf and console are made to order and designed by Anastasia.
Master bathroom is designed in Zen style, the colours of Earth connect with nature and set on a relaxing mode.
Free standing bath looks luxurious and creates a statement in this stylish, monochrome space.
All furniture in kids rooms are custom made in the local carpentry, which allowed the architect to funcionally use every centimeter of the space. Built in bed drawers, shelves, tables and closets provide plenty of storage, so much required in children’s rooms.
Bright green and yellow look lively and cheerful, reminding of summer freshness and sun during the long cold winters in Ural.
