Favorite Brand: G&R Cosas de Cuero
I have recently discovered for me one Spanish brand that I want to share with you today. Its name is G&R Cosas de Cuero, family artisan business located in the North of Sevilla region. They produce amazing accessories made of natural leather, particularly specializing in belts. Their history began in 1985 and since then the main focus has been on the original design and impeccable handmade quality, where every piece is done with love, care and attention to detail. Every item is unique and has slight variations from the other as an effect of handmade quality.
For their belts, they use only the top quality leather. Each piece is made specifically for every customer, where he can choose the color and the size of the belt. I have chosen three belts in three different colours and buckles: anchor, dachshund, and dragonfly. By the way, each buckle is also made individually.
Belts can make any plain outfit look original and eye-catching. I tried my belts with plain blue jumpsuit and love how different colors create contrast and complete the look.
Spain is famous for its leather production, presented all across the country by small artisanal firms, and bigger manufacturers. Each region has its own distinctive characteristics and common design features. Andalucia has one of the longest traditions and well-kept secrets of leather making. In the middle ages, the artisans from Cordoba made their city famous for high-quality tanning and embossing techniques.
Andalusia is also famous for saddlebags, although their production declined over the past years. Although goods for hunters (game bags, chaps, gun cases) continue being popular.
Since I started leaving in Spain I have bought several leather items for my wardrobe, including comfortable shoes, original bags, and accessories. G&R Cosas de Cuero was a great discovery and I already want to purchase more of their beautiful belts.
