Interior Design in Marbella – Villa El Rosario (Terrace)
In today’s post, I want to share the 3D visualizations of the villa that our interior design studio in Marbella is currently designing. In one of the previous articles, I have shown the renderings of the interiors of this villa and now it is time to decorate the outdoor space! So here is how the terrace looked before the renovation:
The client’s brief was the following:
- design an outdoor kitchen in this area with barbecue and all necessary equipment for cooking
- arrange a dining area with a covered roof
- area for recreation (table tennis)
- change flooring to Spanish terracotta tiles
- furniture must be Rattan, wood or other natural materials
As always, I started my design process with site measuring and creating a furniture layout. The next step was to work on the concept of future design. That’s when I choose colors, textures, and materials. When I have a more clear picture and direction of design I start sourcing furniture, lighting, and accessories. The renderings are made using actual materials and items so that the client can clearly visualize the future space. Here are the final renderings:
We decided to use a lighter tone of wood for beams and columns so that the whole structure looks lighter. The dining area is covered with bamboo ceiling plus a thatched roof to give the design a rustic, relaxed feel.
The outdoor kitchen will be located in the corner of the terrace against the stone wall. This area was empty before and we decided to maximize the use of it. Glass ceiling will protect from rain. The kitchen has a barbecue, a little fridge, a sink, cooking area and shelves for storing tableware and utensils.
Overall the terrace is decorated in traditional Spanish style:
Flowers and plants in the pots will make the space more lively and cozy.
The renderings were approved by the client so that we can start the renovation works.
