MagicLinen Bedding Review
Hello, friends!
You probably noticed in one of my recent posts (where I share our accomplished interior design project in Marbella) a beautiful linen bedding that I have got from the Lithuanian manufacturer called MagicLinen.
In today’s post, I wanted to provide a detailed review of this gorgeous bedding set. I have chosen a charcoal gray bedding that I have dreamed of having for quite some time now. I love its rustic, masculine look and it fitted perfectly the minimalist design of the master bedroom in Nueva Andalucia apartment. The set included two pillowcases, a fitted bed sheet, and a duvet cover. It comes beautifully packaged so you instantly get its luxurious, quality feel as soon as you get the product. You can see that great attention is paid to details, such as the ribbon with company name and beautiful handmade wooden buttons on the duvet cover.
If you love natural textiles, you will definitely appreciate the tactile properties of this fabric made of European flax, stonewashed for maximum softness. Many people get surprised when they see the price tag of linen bedding. Actually, it was always considered as a premium quality, luxury product. However, if you research the topic you will understand that the high price is justified. First of all, flax requires very special soil to grow and flourish and is less abundant than cotton, which makes it much more expensive to make. Secondly, to soften the fabric most linen bedding manufacturers use a stone washing technique which is time and labor consuming.
If you compare the properties of linen and cotton, the first one is much more strong and durable, hence will serve at least twice the lifecycle of cotton, getting only better and softer with age.
Linen has wonderful thermostatic and moisture control properties, so if you sweat a lot during the sleep, consider to change your bedding and try it out. Most likely you will never come back to cotton sheets.
Natural linen became very popular over the recent years and you can see it featured in the homes of celebrities and famous interior designers. It instantly creates a luxurious, yet laid back atmosphere. In my project, I complimented it with the gray bed from Bo Concept, charcoal curtains, tinted mirrors and black bedside tables from By Crea. As a result I got a very masculine, minimalist and yet relaxing look.
MagicLinen apart from bedding produces beautiful clothing, as well as curtains, bath linens, and other home textiles. Have a look at their website and Instagram for more inspiring home decor ideas!
