Méribel is the heart of “Les 3 Vallés”, the largest ski area in Europe, with more than 600 km of slopes. The town offers a homely and charming atmosphere; all the houses are of traditional winter style taking care of the natural environment that surrounds him: wood, slate or stone are the materials that have been used and are still used when building houses or establishments.
The base of the station is at 1450 meters of altitude; the maximum height at 2952 meters. Having more than 600 km of tracks, access to any track is very simple, since there are many ski lifts in the entire ski area. A total of 85 tracks are distributed in the domain, of which 10 are black tracks for expert, 30 red tracks, 36 are blue intermediate level and finally, there are 9 green tracks. It has ski lifts to access the slopes. It also has a snow park (Plattières), 2 half-pipes and more attractions for the little ones. Like most ski resorts in this area of the Alps, the season starts in early December and ends at the end of April.
All the villages of Méribel offer several ski rental points, and the best deals are available when you book before your arrival. Renting a place it’s a good option if you are interested on a meribel ski chalet. Tickets for going up and down the slopes can be purchased at reasonable prices, and, if a family pass is taken or seasonal, you can get a good discount. You should not miss the opportunity to ski at night in this area, as it is an alternative to the quiet nightlife of the town surrounding the ski accommodation of Méribel.

The Méribel station being one of the largest stations in the world, there are endless alternatives for both adults and children. Some of the best kindergarten, workshops and activities that they organize for children:
“Saturn’s”: a place of leisure for children between 18 months and 3 years. Outdoor activities are carried out. It is recommended to make reservations in advance.
“Youth & Family” leisure center: recommended for children between 3 and 8 years old. They organize multiple activities related to nature or sports. (hiking, mini golf, swimming … There is another center for children from 8 to 18 years old, they are organized by age, and depending on it, they carry out one activity or another. The older ones begin for example in climbing, rafting, descent through ravines…
