Beautiful Hotel in Nautical Style in the Amalfi Coast
This gorgeous boutique hotel in nautical style is called Minervetta and is tribute to skillful artisans and local fishermen in the beautiful Amalfi Coast in Italy. Everything inside it is full of colour and joy.
Rustic old Florentine dishes, amazing porcelain from Solimene factory, indigo tiles are masterly mixed together and coexist in harmony.
Everything in this hotel reminds of this beautiful port in Italy where it is located, sea and fishing.
The author of these stunning interiors is Marco de Luca – prominent interior designer who became an hotelier.
He constructed this hotel for his grandparents in 1950s and then renovated in 2005. It has stunning views over the Mediterranean sea, the Marina Grande and the volcano.
As any other interior decorated in nautical theme, it has white, blue and red used as main colors. I really love this trick of highlighting niches in the wall with bold patterns – stripes and checkerboard.
The abundance of decorative elements looks a bit shocking but not overwhelming.
Marco incorporated lots of elements created by local artisans, like for example these ceramic fishes in one of the bedrooms.
He got so inspired by local artisanal objects that decorated some of the rooms using traditional colour palette of the local ceramics – turquoise and yellow.
