In Colour Burgundy: Charming Apartment in Sweden
Good morning, my lovely readers!
Today on the blog I wanted to share with you this charming apartment in Sweden. It immediately caught my attention with this gorgeous burgundy color (usually Scandinavian homes are decorated in black and white). Built in 1950s it still keeps midcentury charm with its original herringbone parquet, doors, windows, and closets. Surrounded by beautiful pine forest it is a wonderful example how architecture can be blended into nature.
The entrywayis decorated with gorgeous wallpaper from Boråstapeter – it is always a great solution to pick dark and bold pattern for small areas with lack of natural light. If you have small hall with no windows any light wall colour will look dirty and dull.
Living room and bedroom have feature walls painted in colour matching with wallpaper. The rest of the walls are painted in white, as well as door framings and skirtings, which make the space look fresh and airy.
Kitchen has modern grey and white cabinets and black backsplash.
Bathroom is sleek and minimalistic – all in white:
Finally the balcony: garden furniture covered with furs, woven baskets and natural greenery create a very relaxed and cozy look.
I really love Nordic spaces – they are simple, yet elegant and cozy. What about you? Do you like Scandinavian decor?
