Home Staging Project
Those who read this blog regularly probably wonder where I have disappeared. The thing is that I am currently working on two projects: one of them was decorating studio apartment here in Moscow. The owner’s intention is to give it for rent, so the main requirement was to create very practical, subtle, hotel-like interiors that most of the people will like. The budget was quite limited so my task was to redefine the look of the space using mainly accessories and textiles.
Here is how the apartment looked like before:
First of all I decided to get rid of the red colour – it is too vibrant and powerful and not many people like it. I was thinking to create more relaxing, soothing and elegant space. Keeping overall fresh Scandinavian look, I came up with the solution to introduce more grey into the space, which will make it more cozy. As an accent colour I have picked dark purple. Here is the moodboard that I have put together and presented to the client:
As I said, grey would be the second main colour in the space, so two walls (in the entryway and bedroom area) were decided to be painted grey, so that all accent colours (yellow, purple) would just pop on it:
Here is the look I was craving to achieve:
The client really loved my proposal so it was time to put together the list of items to be purchased:
After all day shopping by cart was full of things:
So all works are already done, I am just waiting the pics from my photographer and so anxious to share with you the final result! Stay tuned!
