How To Display Ceramic Collection
In my last post I already mentioned that last week I moved to Armenia. Slowly but surely I explore the capital of this wonderful country – Yerevan. One of my latest finds is little shop selling hand painted ceramics – some of the most beautiful objects I have ever seen. It is located in the building which is remarkable but itself. It is called Villa Delenda and was built by brothers Mnatsakanian, famous entrepreneurs of the time. It is one of the very few original Art Nouveau buildings which remained in the city.
Today Villa Delenda hosts the showroom of the Veratsnund Art School, established in 1994 by Antonio Montalto, Director of Family Care in Armenia. Wonderful hand painted items range from tableware to home accessories such as table lamps and jewellery boxes.
