Design trend hunting – what’s hot?
I had a great day yesterday! Three hours rambling around home decorating stores – what could be better for an interior designer? Looking for some fabrics for one of my project, I have visited several shops in Riga. During my exploration I have found:
– textiles I was looking for
– dozens of inspirational ideas
– the hottest decorating trends
I can’t wait to share my finds with you ( they can be found in Alan Deko shop in Spice Home Mall).
1) VINTAGE LOOK
It seems that this cute chest of drawers comes directly from rabbit’s hole from Wonderland. I am seriously thinking to make one as a DIY project (need to find different drawers and knobs on a flea market and then paint them or cover with various wallpaper).
2) STEAMPUNK ANIMALS
These garden figures as if made from the tractor wreckage (which also spent a couple of years under snow and rain) are really hot this season. I fell in love with this sweet little couple and already dreaming to drag them in my garden.
3) METAL FIGURES ON THE ROCKS
These tiny pretty animals lurking on the rocks will become a wonderful addition for a garden or summer terrace:
4) FRANKENSTEIN TURTLES
In fact they are cute. And in fact they are door stoppers. I think they will look great in a nursery:
5) YOGI-CAT.
I believe this health-concerned pet will grace any table or shelf.
6) FROM AFRICA WITH LOVE
If you want to create an ethnic style interior, then these slender African women will match it perfectly:
7) GLITTER
Place this dazzling doggie in your living room and it will be filled with style and glamour:
8) BRASS.
This year brass and copper are big. I found brass candle holders, bookends, globes, deer heads and many other beautiful things. Don’t hesitate – buy something for your home, first of all it is trendy, secondly it is stylish and beautiful.
