One of the most important things that any interior designer should constantly do is exploring new places for sourcing materials, furniture, decor and textile. Clients don’t hire us for buying furniture in IKEA – unless you want to do some amazing hacks with it afterwards. They all want something original and reflecting their personality (if you are not hired to decorate apartment for rent). Lately I stumbled upon Viyet – the interior design marketplace with lots of amazing furniture, lighting and decor pieces. Here are some of my favorite finds:
- Vintage Bouclé Armchair
Perfect for creating a cozy reading nook or paired with sofa and used as an accent chair. I imagine it complimented with a beautiful side table and comfy pouf. I love its neutral off-white color that will perfectly blend into any interior:
2. Scandinavian style ultramarine blue armchair
Beautifully shaped armchair features geometric and curvilinear shapes. Bright blue upholstery fabric perfectly matches with walnut frame. Here is a wonderful example on how this piece can be incorporated into a dining room set up:
3. Vintage faux leather bar table
For people who love to socialize and invite friends to their homes this is a wonderful find. As any vintage piece it has soul and story. Style it with flowers, glasses, beautiful bottles and other home bar accessories:
4. Disc wood side table
I have a crush on ethnic decor and all things handmade so this piece instantly caught my attention. It is made of dark stained walnut hardwood carved into hourglass shape. I love versatility of this table – it could be used in a bedroom, a living room, a terrace or a balcony.
5. Vintage shabby chic painted cupboard:
I’d love to purchase this vintage cabinet and then make some fun DIY project with it, for example repainting it into a striking, juicy color, like Justina Blakeney did:
6. Chinese Crackled Lacquer Wood Cabinet
I love oriental furniture and decor. And you don’t need to decorate everything into heavy Chinoiserie to bring this piece at home. It will bring an unexpected twist into modern and eclectic interiors and will become a beautiful and eye-catching accent piece.
