Our home decor reflects who we are, our personalities and life story. Nevertheless, there are some things that should be banned from your house once you’re into your third decade. The shot glasses on display and photos of you clubbing with your friends might be great memories, but life moves on. Eventually things need to be taken down to make room for the future and to keep with the times.

To get rid of the old and make way for the new I’ve compiled a list of things you should have in your home by the age of 30.

A Sturdy Dining Table

Every house should have a quality made dining table for family gatherings. Having a dining table means you will have dinner parties that won’t involve your guest bringing their own chairs but do involve enjoying a nice bottle of wine. Sitting in front of the TV eating dinner will be a thing of the past.

Furniture That Didn’t Belong To Your Parents

While it was nice of your parents to give you their second hand couch, it probably doesn’t go you’re your décor. Unless it does go with you interior, ditch it and invest in quality pieces that will last.
