The Best Dining Table of 2015

I am so pleased to share in this post that one of my favorite furniture brands Louis Kazan has recently won the award by Interior Design with his Volpi Dining Table as the best dining table of the year.

Best of Year Awards selects the best products in different categories: furniture, materials and decorative objects. Two other finalists were Herman Miller’s commercial seat Chadwick and storage system Senzafine by Poliform.  Chadwick is one of my favorites too – it consists of 125 contiguous units, their various sizes and shapes allow the system to take different forms according to the requirements of commercial spaces. Modules link via simple connectors that can be easily unlocked if you want to rearrange the seating.

The furniture piece by Louis Kazan, as its name suggests, was inspired by Alfredo Volpi – prominent Brazilian artist of the cultural modernist movement. The base of the desk is divided into three closely spaced layers, its overlapping effect reminds of the famous Volpi’s works. The internal division of the base can be customized in various materials including leather and various woods.  All this is combined with a floating top, excellence of craftsmanship and unique materials.
