Today I was delighted to receive some images of the newly renovated Nakoma Clubhouse. You know why? Because Lisa Marechal from Neo Design Studio, who accomplished the project, used ceramics from my boutique to decorate the property!

The centerpiece of the Nakoma Resort is its iconic Frank Lloyd Wright designed Clubhouse. Surrounded by ancient pines, this beautiful mountain building houses a Reception Foyer, Wigwam Dining Room, FLoW Bar & Lounge, Spa and fitness facilities, award-winning golf shop, and ski touring center in the winter.

Frank Lloyd Wright created the concept for the Nakoma resort in 1923. He designed the 23,000 square-foot club house and The Wisconsin State Journal called the Wright clubhouse “the most unique building of its kind in America.” It has a geometric roofline composed of a teepee like towers of wood and copper rising from walls clad in stone, his characteristically low-ceilinged entrances and passageways that led to soaring spaces including the 60 foot-high “Wigwam Room” with its towering, four-sided central fireplace.
