In this post I want to talk about one event that took place exactly 100 years ago.  24 April 1915 the Ottoman authorities arrested 250 Armenian leaders and intellectuals in Constantinople. This is how Armenian Genocide started, during which almost 1,5 million were killed and several other millions were forced to run from their homeland seeking shelter in another countries. Despite irrefutable facts and evidence Armenian Genocide still is not acknowledged by many countries, which I believe is totally incorrect, because remembering and recognizing tragedies like this will help to avoid that it will ever repeat again in the future.

For the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Massacres, artist Anush Khemchyan created this charming collection of decorative home decor items called “Forget-me-not” (the flower is a symbol of this event) to raise awareness for it. You can purchase these beautiful pieces in our boutique. 30% of all profit will be donated to charity organizations in Armenia.
