How To Grow Your Blog: Building A Framework E-Book

Spread the love

A book review today! Just couldn’t skip it as the book I have recently discovered is a pure gold – have to share it with you.

Here it is (click on it for preview and purchase):

Screen Shot 2014-07-04 at 9.41.32 PMI found it through the twitter connection with the author – Abby Lawson. She has a wonderful blog, called “Just A Girl and Her Blog” about home improvement, decorating, DIY  and culinary.

What I love about Abby is that she is a very generous person – not only she made her blog very popular, but she is ready to share with everyone her secrets of success.

Here what you will learn from her book:

– Technical stuff you need to know to start your own blog (comparison of various blogging platforms and hosting providers including a step-by-step guide of opening site with Bluehost (*).

– Useful and popular plugins you should set up in your blog.

– Essential pieces you need to include, such as “Contact me” page, disclosure policy, projects gallery, “About me”, search box, social media buttons.

– Tips on how to write a “good” content.

– Introduction to photography and image editing.

– How to grow your blog readership and traffic.

– How to create a community and connect with other bloggers.

– Social Media strategy and how to get clever with Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Google+ and handle it all.

– How to start earning money blogging (this is my favourite part of the book)- the author is providing some “real” tips on how to convert blog into business. You will find in this chapter: information about Google adsense, sponsored posts, affiliate programs and collaboration with brands.

Another cool thing about this book is that apart from information based on her own experience, Abby shares some really useful links and additional reading materials. This book is not aimed to be scanned in half an hour time – the more meticulously you study it, the more result you will see at the end.

My rating: 5 stars out of 5.
