You believe that wardrobe is the best place for your voguish fashion finds? Not necessarily, as beautiful apparel on display will be a wonderful way to add some chic and style to the space. Showing off your wears  will immediately create a very relaxing and bohemian look.  You just need to learn how to arrange it attractively without it looking as if you are doing a deep cleaning of the closet or have a big laundry day.

Learn these 9 easy tips on how to use clothes as part of home decor:

1) Hang them on a clothing rack: perhaps, some people will think that this is the easiest way, although it is actually the most tricky as instead of stylish display you are very likely to get a “laundry room look”. Several things to consider: you need to make revision of your wardrobe and select pieces which coordinate with each other by style, and more importantly by colour (not only between themselves, but also with the colour scheme of the room). Have a look at this wonderful bedroom – toile wallpaper and toile bed spread create a very feminine and gentle look. To compliment it only clothes in subtle, pastel tones was selected for display. You will not find here dresses in flashy neon or dark and deep tones:

2) By placing a large mirror next to your clothes display you can define a dressing area in your bedroom:

3) Less is better. Remember, clothes on display is not meant as additional storage area – it is only a part of the decor. So don’t overload it with many pieces, select few, even one, but probably the most stunning:

4) On a door. This wonderful outfit hanging on a door looks as if its owner just came back from a posh party and didn’t have time or effort to put it in the wardrobe – very chic!

5) On the wall. This is a wonderful way to create a focal point in the space, especially if it is a bright spot on a neutral background. The best way in this case will be to tie it up by colour with the rest of accessories – cushions, rugs, throws:

6) Place an elegant rail for hangers  on the wall – it is very practical and stylish solution:

7) Go ethnic. Bought a kimono from your trip to Japan and now don’t know what to do with it – organising a themed tea party or bequeath to grandchildren? Instead of this, use it as a wall decor to add an oriental twist to your room. Not only it looks very exotic, but ethnic dress usually has very bright and vivid pattern and colours, which make it perfect as wall art:
